Expressions: Portraits, Busts, and Masks from the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco See all the exhibitions.
This nonaviation exhibition was on display between November 2002 and July 2003 in the G-01 International North Wall gallery, located in International Terminal
What do a face mask from the Bamum people of Africa, a bust of a Hopi woman, and an art deco sculpture titled "Mrs. Lachaise" have in common? All are portraits-more or less. The exhibition juxtaposes more than twenty faces of different types from a wide variety of cultures and lets the viewer take home a new idea of what a "portrait" is all about.
