Romance of Early Air Travel See all the exhibitions.

This aviation exhibition was on display between November 2000 and January 2002 in the AML 01 AML Front Gallery gallery, located in International Terminal

Focusing on three major aircraft, the Ford Tri-motor, the Doublas DC-3, and the Lockheed Constellation, the exhibition presents the history of early commercial aviation. The exhibition presents two perspectives. The Romance section highlights a glamorous image of flight through airline identity, passenger amenities and meal service. The Reality section explores the mechanics of flying, technical developments, and navigation. Flight crew uniforms, including the first stewardess outfit, airline seats, and airplane models, representing the eras of the three major aircraft featured, complete the exhibition.
